Raising $150 per Student in Just 18 Days
The Wasatch PTA is raising funds to continue our amazing school arts program, which pays for guest artists, arts supplies, props for drama productions, art specialists' salaries, and arts-based field trips. Our general school budget doesn’t cover the $150 per student needed to support this program - that's $63,000 a year. So we're aiming to raise $40,000 of that total cost through this annual online fall fundraiser.
How to Donate to a Particular Grade
1. Click on a Grade above in the scroll bar or choose the Grade during checkout.
2. Click the Contribute button and type in your amount and click to Pay.
How do I donate to more than one Grade? Repeat steps 1 & 2 for every Grade's page in which you want to donate. They will be separate transactions.
How Much Do I Give?
Any amount makes a difference. Can you give $5, $25, $100, $500 or even $1,000? You choose the amount and you'll get our heartfelt thank you and a tax receipt as the Wasatch PTA is a 501c3 nonprofit foundation.
Two years ago we changed the way we fundraise for our school. Instead of students selling products like cookie dough or wrapping paper and only getting 50% or less of what we raised, we launched an online fundraising campaign on RallyMe and asked as many supporters as we could to join our community and donate online. With straight online fundraising, we keep at least 94% of the funds raised!
In 2016, we raised nearly $43,000, representing 440 donations from 30 states! In 2017, we raised over $50,000, representing 455 donations from 27 states.
Why This Matters
The funds raised helped our students learn about the intersection of math and art, and they created self-portraits, storybooks, sculptures and have studied famous artists. We created art as families at Family Art Night. Every student who tried out for the school play is able to participate, because we had the funds to increase the play budget. Our class Town Meetings (performances) can only happen through with support of the Arts Program.
We went on field trips and used art to learn about other subjects. The students danced, drummed, sung, and played musical instruments. Art has invaded every corner of our school and we have hundreds of parents, neighbors, aunts, uncles, grandparents, teachers, staff and friends to thank for helping to make it possible.
